Princess of Disks and Nine of Swords
This week, a Virgo New Moon arrives on September 14, bringing us fresh energy ideal for setting powerful intentions. The cards also share their grounding wisdom to support us as we move through the days ahead.
Our first card is the Princess of Disks. She is most alive in the outdoors and calls us to connect with the natural world. She wants us to spend time in the wilderness for both healing and connecting to our intuition.
The Princess of Disks is a planner. She is hardworking, responsible, and takes care of business. She doesn’t want the spotlight but makes sure everything goes smoothly behind the scenes. She embodies the energy of Virgo Season.
The Princess of Disks is here to support us during this time. While we might feel the desire to just spring right into action, however, the Princess encourages us to think about the logistics and details.
What work do we need to start? What are our first steps? We feel the call of planning mode. We are able to tackle projects and to-do lists with more ease and vigor. We keep things moving as we see the bigger picture before us.
The Princess allows us to step back and make time for planning in order to get things done. We may say no to things in order to focus on our larger goals. We will also feel more energized and productive by taking space to recharge in nature.
Our next card pushes us to find clarity in our thinking and kindness for ourselves. It wants us to be aware of any cruel or confusing thoughts we are currently holding on to.
Do you wake up in the morning with a feeling of gratitude? Do you look in the mirror and see your strengths? Do you appreciate your talents and have compassion for your flaws?
Or are you more likely to wake up and see the things that are going wrong? To look in the mirror and see what you don’t like about yourself? And generally, have a deficit point of view?
The Nine of Swords wants us to be aware of the ways we talk to ourselves, our harsh criticisms, and negative loops. We must look at ourselves and really listen to our thoughts. Watch them, observe them, and take note of their tone.
This overly critical thinking is the shadow side of Virgo. Often out of fear, it comes up to protect us but ends up hurting us instead. We can speak to this energy and say ‘We know you are trying to keep us safe but we no longer need your help.’
The Nine of Swords shines a light on the harshness of our words and the impact they have. This cruel thinking is false thinking, they bring dark clouds where they need not be. This week we become aware of this energy and make a shift to the light.
Mantra or the week: I have love and compassion for myself. I make time to work on my big dreams.
